The Bachelor of Economics (BE) offered by the Faculty of Economics and Management, UKM is the pioneer among economics programs in Malaysia that has produced many well-known and prominent economists in the country. This programme is designed to equip students with knowledge and skills in the field of economics that allows graduates to apply economics-related knowledge in organisational planning, policy development, research and decision making in organisations. Focus areas include international and industrial economics, monetary and fiscal economics, econometrics, economic development and Islamic economics. PROGRAMME SUMMARY

(LESTARI) was established on 1st October 1994 as a multidisciplinary institute within the structure of Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. It fulfills the aspirations of the university, as envisioned by the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development (UNCED) held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, to realize the goal of sustainable development through research and capacity development.

LESTARI was also established to serve as a reference center capable of dealing with environmental and development issues, assisting government in formulating policies based on research of a holistic and balanced kind. The development function is directed towards enhancing human resource capacity through skill development and training, for both government and private sectors.

  2. Pass Presentation of Research Proposal
  3. Pass Persentation at the Institute Postgraduate Colloquium
  4. Fulffiled the publication requirements approved by the UKM Senate.

English Requirement:
For overseas students, the application must prove good command of the English language by obtaining at least a score of 597 for the paper-based TOEFL, or at least a score of 95 for the internet-based TOEFL, or at least IELTS 6, or an English language exam accepted by the Senate UKM
