Campus Life

Getting fitter and healthier

The sports and recreation programs in the University are designed to inculcate the value of a healthy lifestyle among the undergraduates whilst allowing them to compete at the college and university level. The encouragement and involvement in the organized physical fitness programs and tournaments participated by the students are for them to value the importance of fitness in life and to have fun in the activities they participated in.

Sport Centre

The main roles of the Sports Centre are to manage sports programs involving High-Performance Sports as well as Mass Sports, administration and finance, Sports Science development, maintain and promote sports facilities to outsiders, financial generation, and managing of potential National athletes.

The Sports Centre are not only focused on students but also UKM staff as well as off-campus communities. The role of the Sports Centre is always streamlined and expanded from time to time according to the current development of the nation’s sports through the Institutions of Higher Learning and the National Sports Development Programs.

Performing Arts

If you get an adrenalin buzz from being on stage performing and dream of singing, dancing and/or acting for a living, then a performing art could be the perfect way to develop your skills and build your confidence. Many of these activities are designed to help UKM students and staffs become ‘triple threat’ performers-skillful in acting, singing and dancing, even playing music instruments.

University Cultural Centre

The function of the University Cultural Centre is to plan, coordinate and implement cultural and arts activities, design arts courses and workshops for students and campus residents, provide services to faculties and departments offering related courses in culture and arts, offer services advice to all student associations and clubs related to cultural and arts programs and in particular arts groups under the ARTISUKMA Secretariat.

The University Cultural Centre also offers arts management advisory services, guidance and provides facilities to the Arts Secretariat at colleges in UKM. The centre is also tasked by the university as an advisor and manages the performing arts and culture involving official university events such as national and international level seminars and the university’s annual official events.
